Political Campaigns: A Naked Buffet for Covid From the Parties
As we slowly get back to a normal life with the help of
keeping up with the guidelines by the government, the election 2021 has other
ideas. From huge gatherings to meeting individuals during the campaign, the
political parties have broken many of the guidelines by the government while
campaigning for the same government, which sounds ironic.
28th March 2021, In Trichy. A Healthline support van was found announcing the second wave of Covid while providing awareness for public safety. On the other side of the road, a group of auto and vans are found with enthusiastic people and youngsters chanting and shouting the following quotes of the political party. The Healthline van and their voice were overcrowded and silenced by their chants and manifestos said by their candidate. Such incidents cannot be avoided but they can be done with some sense.
India isn’t a country with 2-3 parties, it has a more diverse culture that makes different parties, and when campaigns are conducted and
every party that takes a turn to interact with people during this crucial time will
do nothing but will push us back to last year's situation.
Everyday India tends to break the highest one-day case
count, the situation was getting better and these kinds of incidents do nothing
but make things worse. If a party leader is truly concern about his/her people,
they won't risk their lives at the cost of nothing.
If everyone’s sick and there is no one to vote for, who will
the political parties do campaigns for?
